Appendix D: Temperature Control Option 303
Using the BD Temperature Control Option
Note that before you start the recirculating water bath, you must attach the
tubing to the appropriate collection device.
Setting Up the Water Bath
1 Remove the threaded plug from the output port on the water bath.
2 Ensure that the drain cock on the back of the water bath is closed by
turning it fully clockwise.
3 Set the pump outflow to maximum by turning the knob fully counter-
clockwise.
Remove the top cover to access the knob, which is located inside the water
bath towards the back. See the Operating Instructions supplied with water
bath for additional details on this process. This is referred to as position 1.
4 Connect the clear tubing end of the insulated hoses to the input and output
ports on the water bath. (See Figure D-2 on page 304.)
Slide the tubing over the hose barbs and twist gently while installing to get
the tubing completely over the barbs.
